Itinerary at a Glance
After your complimentary hotel pickup, you start the day off with a leisurely 45-minute cruise to Beqa Island with a drink in hand. On the way to our private beach you can learn about the island and its people. Once we’ve arrived at our beach, you’re treated to kava ceremony where you can give it a try whilst learning about the importance of our national beverage and how it’s made. You’ll also get to learn about our people, culture, myths, legends, etc.
After viewing how your traditional Fijian lovo (earth oven) lunch is prepared, we take you on a spectacular journey through our marine reserve reef systems where you can expect to see soft-corals of all colors, giant clams, lobsters, squid, turtles, our baby reef shark and all types of tropical reef fish including Nemo and Dory.
Once we’re back at our private beach, you are free to join our guides for a village visit to experience the life and times of an islander, sing and dance with our pre-school kids at the only kindergarten on the island, speak to the elders who share their stories of fire-walking, witch-craft, medicinal herbs, and much more. You can visit the ladies making handicrafts, they will tell you the history of art in Fiji, how they are made, etc. All hand-made items from the island are supported by our foundation, and are treated for taking overseas as a memento of your awesome holiday!
Upon arrival to our beach from the village, you’re treated to a complimentary traditional Fijian lovo lunch in buffet style, which showcases the food we eat, our fresh fruits and vegetables grown in Fiji. Don’t forget to open our coolers and grab yourself soft drinks or bottled water. After a scrumptious lunch the day is yours to do as you please.
You can explore the island by foot or by kayak, join in on our fun beach games, sit and drink kava with the crew, go on another snorkeling session, or simply relax on a hammock with a drink in hand. At approximately 4pm we embark from our beach for a seasonal sunset cruise back to the mainland.
Grab a drink, sit anywhere on our boat and you may be treated to a seasonal dolphin and/or whale sighting depending on migration times.
Arriving at 4:30pm, you’ll be taken on a complimentary bus ride back to your hotel.
